CITY OF PUEBLA, Pue.- Derived from the exponential growth in the number of infections and people hospitalized by COVID-19, the State Government restricts non-essential activities for 14 days, that is, from December 29, 2020 to January 11, 2021, this as a measure to combat the chain of contagions of this disease.

In his message, Governor Miguel Barbosa Huerta regretted that during this holiday period there is uncontrolled behavior, in addition to the fact that establishments and shopping centers have not respected the allowed quota, coupled with street commerce and overwhelmed mobility.

In this sense, he urged the 217 city councils in the state to take the corresponding actions to avoid the installation of street vendors, since this type of commerce generates close contact between people who come to buy.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Interior, David Méndez Márquez reiterated the call to the 217 mayors, especially those of the metropolitan area, to act responsibly within the framework of their powers in caring for the life and health of the inhabitants of their municipalities.

He indicated that the capital of the state, which is region 3, is in orange with an upward trend, which represents a high risk of COVID-19 infections.

He specified that regions 2, 4 and 5 with headwaters in Tehuacán, Tecamachalco and Zacatlán, are located in yellow, but with an upward trend; while regions 1 and 6 of Izúcar de Matamoros and Teziutlán, respectively, are also in yellow, but stable.
