This Friday, the Jofre Theater in Ferrol hosted the delivery of the ‘Paraugas Awards’, organized by the Galician Communication Cluster, which aim to highlight “the plurality and strength” of a strategic economic sector for the Galician community by rewarding projects advertising and communication that are more innovative, creative and have greater positive impact.
Thus, in the Printing and Publishing Category, the winners were: ‘Best Printing on Paper’ for Estudios Anime, from Gráficas Anduriña; ‘Best Work in Large Format’, for Aula Aberta á Tecnociencia, by Imprimiverde – UVigo; and ‘Best Packaging’ for La Brújula, by Gráficas Salnés.
In the Design Category, the ‘Best Graphic Design’ went to Mobalco, by Cenlitros and Marcos Dopico; ‘Best Industrial or Product Design’ went to Lavelle Fireroad; and the ‘Best Digital Design’ for AR/DE Arquivo do Deseño Galego, by Desoños.
In the Creativity Category, the ‘Best Idea went to Non Cabreiroarse. Imaxe – Children of Rivera; the ‘Best Campaign’, Eggie Revolution. Imaxe – Wovo; the ‘Best Production’, Let’s save our mountains from fires. Chachachá Studio-Greenpeace; and ‘Best Positive Impact Campaign’ for Reto FalAI. Errands Carmen – Balidea and AtlanTTic Universidade de Vigo.
In the Digital Marketing Category, the award for ‘Best Strategy’ went to Fontecelta without filters; ‘Best Branding Action’, Fragmentos de Onte, by Bodegas Martín Códax; ‘Best Brand Activation’, Shall we match? Bysidecar; and ‘Best Use of Social Media’ for Non Cabreiroarse.
In the Communication Category, the award for ‘Best Global Communication Strategy went to the Oliveira dos Cen Anos Anthem of RC Celta; a ‘Best Practice/Strategy in Corporate Social Responsibility Communication for a history of transformative creativity.
In Events, the ‘Best Event’ was Eje Atlántico Loves Generali. Elemental Street (Recados Carmen) and the ‘Best Festival’ went to Portamérica. Try hard.
HONORARY AWARD
The journalist Rosa Vilas also collected the Honorary Award, with which the Communication Cluster wanted to recognize her career and praise her role as a pioneer for being the first woman to occupy a management position on Galician Television.
The first vice president of the Xunta, Diego Calvo, was present at the event, who praised the consolidation of these awards “as benchmarks in the sector” and assured that the communication and marketing industry represents “a differentiating social and cultural value.” which in addition to generating employment and wealth, “contributes to creating culture, knowledge and identity, as well as strengthening the Galicia brand.”
The winners of this edition were chosen by a jury of experts who highlighted the quality of this year’s proposals, nearly 300, and from which a total of 55 finalists were chosen. The president of the Cluster, Alberto Garnil, noted that “it is a pride to represent this sector, which in addition to promoting the economic growth of the community, manages to inspire society through ideas.”
