“Non-American EV Brands Lose Eligibility for US Consumer Credit Due to IRA Implementation”

What had to happen happened. Since last Tuesday, almost no non-American brand electric vehicle is eligible for the consumer credit offered to buyers of electric cars in the United States. This is the consequence of the entry into force of the implementing decrees for the IRA (Inflation Reduction Act), this vast plan for the development of national clean industries.

In other words, European manufacturers like BMW, Volvo, and Asian manufacturers like Hyundai, Nissan, Rivian, present on the American market, can no longer dangle their potential customers with a subsidy of up to 7,500 dollars.
