Only at the end of January will the applicants for the prize in the nomination “Radio hits”, which is traditionally determined by the Latvian Association of Performers and Producers (LaIPA), become known. The recipient of the award for a lifetime contribution to the development of Latvian music will be announced in early February.

More than 500 entries have been submitted this year: 165 albums; 37 debut albums; 149 songs; 134 videos; 20 concert videos and 22 album designs.

The Golden Microphone ’22 Award for Music Recordings will be held on February 26th. This year marks the 26th anniversary of the tradition of honoring the best records of each year.
