At 35, he signed the first retrospective devoted in France to Velázquez. It was in 2015, and the Strasbourg native Guillaume Kientz, who entered the Louvre as curator of the Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American collections, then took the direction of the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, (Texas). He continued his American career by occupying, from 2021, the post of director of the Hispanic Society Museum in New York, with 750,000 works and manuscripts.
