Nomadland wins Golden Lion at Venice Film Festival | NOW

The main prize of the Venice Film Festival, the Golden Lion, has been awarded to American film this year Nomadland van manager Chloé Zao. Of movie Wife of a Spy Japanese director Kiyoshi Kurosawa has won the Silver Lion, the big jury prize, for best film.

Chloé Zao and protagonist Frances McDormand received the award via a video link from the United States because of the corona crisis.

Italian Pierfrancesco Favino won the Best Actor Award for his role in Our Father. British Vanessa Kirby won the Best Actress Award for her performance as Martha in Pieces of a Woman.
