JawaPos.com – Nokia Bell Labs or Nokia announced the industry’s first research breakthrough Artificial Intelligence (AI) Natural-Language Networks which allows the network to be operated via voice or text commands to understand user intent and have the intelligence to act autonomously, quoted from BETWEEN.
“Operators no longer need to delve into technical terms or API descriptions (Application Programming Interface) complex when configuring the network. Instead, a simple statement like ‘Optimize the network at X location for Y service‘ will work,” said Research Leader Network Systems Automation Nokia Bell Labs Csaba Vulkan, quoted from his press statement, Sunday (3/12).
He added, “Such demand can be used by configuring wireless networks in factories for robotic automation or optimizing networks at concerts to upload a series of social media content,” he said.

Natural-Language Networks This research initiative from Nokia Bell Labs is called UNEXT. UNEXT will redefine software and networking systems to reshape computing requirements.
UNEXT will make any integration process with the network a simple task and turn the network itself into an OS.
“UNEXT aims to reduce the complexity of network management, as well as expand the reach of network systems by removing barriers that prevent these systems from interoperating,” said Head of Network Systems and Security Research Nokia Bell Labs Azimeh Sefidcon.

Natural-Language Networks will eliminate the complexity of network management, while responding quickly to user needs. By leveraging AI, these networks will enable service providers to deliver and maintain the ideal network configuration for each customer when needed.
Besides that, Natural-Language Networks will continue to be optimized for the next step. As knowledge increases, Natural-Language Networks is expected to be able to meet service and application needs, and adapt without human intervention.
