HMD Global has a new update ready for the Nokia 4.2. After the latest update, the smartphones will run on Android 11. The update also installs a new security patch.
The Nokia 4.2 appeared on the market in 2019 with Android 9. The smartphone has been running for a while now Android 10 and now the latest version of Android is rolling out. The Android 11 update was originally scheduled to roll out in the first quarter of 2021, but this schedule has been a bit delayed.
The latest update also brings the March 2021 security patch in addition to Android 11. This makes the mid-range smartphone somewhat better protected against vulnerabilities in the operating system. After installing Android 11, users of the Nokia 4.2 will have access to several improvements and new functions, including more privacy settings, improved notifications and a screen recording function.
