With more than 100 donors in a single day, a record, the first collection of the year will be remembered by the volunteers of the Nogaro-Aignan (DSNA) blood donation association.
“Reaching out, showing solidarity, is equal to saving three lives”, is the motto of the Nogaro-Aignan (DSNA) blood donation association. The first collection of 2023, organized by the association, received 114 donors, including 10 first-time donors. “Record beaten, congratulations to all!”, comments the president of the association, Rolande Delord.
During the collection, a donor with a lot of humor exclaims: “no arms, no chocolate”. Well yes! Because all the donors were welcomed with chocolates and were offered by the DSNA association, a calendar (with the dates of the 2023 collections), as well as a small notebook.
Collections scheduled until next December
For its part, the medical team of the French Blood Establishment (EFS) was once again at the top. In the afternoon, the mayor of Nogaro, Christian Peyret, visited the volunteers. As a reminder, the city councilor and the municipal council provide permanent support to the association. In particular through the provision during collections of municipal employees for the setting up of the room: installation, storage, etc. “All together for a noble cause of public health”, concludes the president of the association, Rolande Delord.
Note on the agenda that the next blood drives will take place in Nogaro: Monday March 13, Monday May 22, Monday July 31, Monday October 2 and Monday December 11. There will also be a collection on Monday, September 11 in Aignan.
