In Noëlla’s living room, where her bed is also, there are dozens of birthday cards on the cupboard. Noëlla expelled them herself. She does as much as possible herself and is proud of it. For five years now, a nurse has come by to help her get dressed, while on Tuesdays and Fridays someone from Familiehulp also comes to help with the housework, but otherwise Noëlla does everything by herself, up to the laundry. She is still very clear-headed, although her hearing is somewhat lacking. “Our mother is one planters ”, son Eric (80) puts it.
