Noé Roth jumps on the podium for the first time in the second World Cup competition of the season. The leader of the Swiss aerials team is third in Yaroslavl, Russia.
In the second attempt in the top 6 – the score was reset to zero – the flight phase and the landing went well. But like at the start in Kuusamo, the Russian Maxim Burow showed what perfection is. Again he won before compatriot Pawel Krotow.
The 20-year-old Roth also waived the hurricane in Russia. The jump with three somersaults and five twists has been part of his repertoire this summer. With the execution in the competition, the World Cup third in 2019 wants to wait until the Olympic season.
Roth was the only one of the Swiss men’s and women’s teams to make it into the top 6. The Chinese, probably the strongest nation in aerials, were again not at the start because of the strict Corona guidelines in their own country. Like Burow for the men, Laura Peel from Australia was celebrated as the winner in the women for the second time.
