Noë Bruno to Succeed Father Angelo as CEO of Group Bruno in 2026

Noë Bruno (37) will succeed his father Angelo as CEO of Group Bruno, the well-known chain of gas stations and snack restaurants, at the end of 2026. His younger brother Luca and sister Nina remain active in management positions within the company.

Group Bruno was founded in 1988 by brothers Angelo and Giuliano Bruno and manages a network of 27 Service Stations and Food Corners in Limburg, Sint-Niklaas, Bruges and Roeselare. Since 2021, the group has been led by Angelo Bruno and his sons Noë and Luca. The group has 700 employees and had a consolidated annual turnover of approximately 330 million euros in 2022.

In anticipation of Angelo Bruno’s retirement at the end of 2026, it has now been decided within the family business that his eldest son Noë will take over the torch. Noë has been working for the group from an early age. He started as a student worker in 2006 at Bruno Foodcorner in Genk and Hasselt. In 2009 he started working at Bruno Car Rental. Two years later, Noë moved to the head office, where he worked in the sales, billing, accounting and fuel departments. In 2021, after the takeover of Group Bruno by his father, he became responsible for purchasing, IT, digitalization and Bruno Mazout. The position of CEO will be added at the end of 2026.

Despite
“Succession in a family business is always a sensitive issue,” says Angelo Bruno. “I know from many fellow entrepreneurs that it is not easy to leave a family business to the children. My two sons are currently actively working at Group Bruno and my daughter Nina has a real estate company. I am proud of what they have accomplished. We have also gone through a long process of follow-up before this decision was made. By passing the torch to Noë, there is clarity for everyone and he has time to settle in. This is necessary because Group Bruno continues to grow at a rapid pace. Every year we open several Bruno Foodcorners and we are also fully committed to the energy transition and green energy.”

Fantastic
“It is a great honor for me to succeed my father,” says Noë Bruno. “I know the family business well because I have been working here all my life. I’ve never actually had a boss other than my dad. It is fantastic what he and the family have built up over the past 36 years in Limburg but also beyond. It is also quite a challenge to succeed him, but I am looking forward to it. Group Bruno is a large and versatile company with gas stations, food corners, heating oil, car wash and car rental. But we also have cleaning.net, a real estate company, a hotel and catering facilities. In 2022 there was a consolidated annual turnover of approximately 330 million euros. We recently received the Voka Press Award and were nominated for the Trends Gazellen. I am therefore very pleased that I have the support and trust of my brother, sister and the entire management team. They will help support the transition. Luca will continue to be at my side as Sales, Marketing and Communications Director and is a crucial link within Group Bruno. Nina will be responsible for all management and conservation of the heritage. We can only handle this together as a family. Fortunately, I can learn a lot from my father for a few more years before he retires for good. But I am especially proud of the daily warm support from the 700 employees and operators. They are the great asset of Group Bruno.”
