Esports company Nodwin Gaming has acquired West Asia and Turkey-focused gaming marketing agency PublishME for $2 million. PublishME was previously owned by Indian gaming and media company Nazara Technologies and its founder Ozgur Ozalp. Nazara Technologies also owns a majority stake in Nodwin Gaming.
PublishME acts as a marketing agency for various publishers and brands in the gaming industry, including Activision, Garena, Supercell, Ubisoft and Nvidia. This acquisition will allow Nodwin Gaming to expand its presence in the Middle East and benefit from the synergies between the two companies.
Ozgur Ozalp, the founder of PublishME, will become the managing director of Nodwin Gaming Dubai following the sale. The company will also change its name to Nodwin Gaming in West Asia, while retaining the PublishME name in the Turkish market.
This acquisition comes after Nodwin Gaming raised $28 million in a funding round valued at $349 million. Investors include Nazara Technologies, Krafton and Sony Group. Nodwin Gaming aims to increase its contribution to Nazara Technologies’ overall revenue to around 35% in the coming quarters.
