The program, which was organized for the first time last year, is coming back to life this year, but this time at 19 locations.
See if it’s where you live, or if you’re going on a trip somewhere, to that where is the next time? venue for an event and join the night butterfly culture.
The invitation of the MME promises a special experience for the participants, since the organized observation of spectacular and interesting butterflies moving in the dark is still not an ordinary thing, especially not for those who have never participated in a similar action. But returning visitors won’t be bored either, as you never know in advance what kind of butterflies will arrive in the dark. According to information published by the Hungarian Butterfly Association, the majority of butterflies are nocturnal, and at least 140,000 of the 160,000 species known in the world can be considered nocturnal. This ratio is also typical for their species found in Hungary, more than 95 percent of them belong to this category.
