While the A-youth and the B-Juniors of SV Darmstadt 98 collect only one point in the Bundesliga, the C-Youth of the Lilien has to cope with a shock.
DARMSTADT – (fle / bot). The A and B juniors of SV Darmstadt 98 in the Bundesliga remained without a win at the weekend. A serious car accident overshadowed the C-Juniors game in the Regionalliga.
In the 1-1 draw at Astoria Walldorf, the A-Juniors fell behind after just five minutes. It was only after the break that John Peter Sesay saved a point with his equalizer from coach Georg-Martin Leopold’s team. “The bottom line was it was a fair draw, even if we would have liked to win,” said Darmstadt’s coach after the final whistle.
On the other hand, the game for the B-Juniors in the 2-6 defeat at 1. FC Nürnberg was already decided before the break. The Franks quickly took a 4-0 lead, Darmstadt was able to shorten with two goals from Fabio Torsiello. But after the break, the hosts restored the old four-goal gap.
Even the C-Juniors did not get more than 1-1 in the regional league at FSV Frankfurt. The traffic accident that a lily player had on his journey to Frankfurt also contributed to this. His parents’ car collided with a tram in Frankfurt. All three occupants of the car had to go to the hospital, they are doing well under the circumstances. “In view of the circumstances, we couldn’t do more today,” said Lilien trainer Jonas Keblowsky.
