The sources explained that the tension that occurred this evening was linked to disputes between two people over a crime that occurred during the security events that took place in the camp more than two months ago.
Likewise, the sources denied everything that was said about the assassination of an official in the Fatah movement during today’s tension, stressing that the movement had nothing to do with everything that happened, neither from afar nor from afar.
Later, the “Fatah” movement announced in a statement, “A problem occurred in Ain al-Hilweh camp after sunset today on Al-Fawqani Street near Al-Buraq Junction, which led to the fall of wounded, and immediately we were subjected to gunfire and some hand grenades, and a circular was issued to all our members. Not to respond to the sources of fire, and there was a commitment on the part of our forces, and in parallel and immediately, some sedition groups in the camp threw accusations and spread false news.”
The statement added: “It is important for us to clarify that neither the Fatah movement nor the Palestinian National Security Forces in the camp have anything to do with the incident, neither from near nor from afar, and we are working with all forces to resolve this problem in this difficult time, and in light of what our people are suffering from the barbaric Israeli aggression.” We hope that our people will not deal with such news and will not promote it, wishing safety and security for our people in the camp.”
