Between Almere Poort and Hilversum no trains run all day due to a signal failure. This is reported by the NS.
Due to the malfunction, there are also no intercity trains between Almere Centrum and Amsterdam Central. The outage is expected to last until 11:30 pm tonight, Omroep Flevoland writes. It is not known whether alternative transport will be used.
In the east of the country, train and bus traffic has also been disrupted by a strike by regional carrier Arriva and Keolis. There are several routes in the Achterhoek, Twente and Rivierenland no trains and buses.
