In the film, we find a retired James Bond, who left Her Majesty’s Secret Service to spend some quality time far away from London and MI6. He then lives with Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), but suspects her of having betrayed him to the SPECTER organization, which tries to kill him during a trip to Italy. James Bond leaves the young woman and goes to live alone in Jamaica, where we find him five years later. And Dying can wait did not convince all the fans when it was released, it was rather unanimous among the critics. It must be said that the scenario is dense and that it takes its time at times, perhaps because, like us, director Cary Joji Fukunaga was in no hurry to see Daniel Craig say his last line. The film is the longest in the history of the franchise since its creation in 1962 and lasts 2 hours 43 minutes. A big gap of almost an hour with Quantum of Solace (2008), which is the shortest of all, clocking in at 1h46!
