In the last hours, an image of an alleged tweet published by actress Anabel Alonso on September 19 is moving, stating that “A volcanic eruption is like a woman when she is mistreated. The earth cries, the heteropatriarchy reincarnated in climate change ”. The supposed tweet has begun to circulate after the volcano located in the Cumbre Vieja Natural Park, on the island of La Palma, erupted.
But it is a hoax: it is a montage. The handle (the user behind the @) of the account that tweets it is @AnabelAlnso_of, while the actress is @AnabelAlonso_of. That is to say, al handle that appears in the montage is missing an “o” to make it like Alonso’s. For her part, there is no trace that Anabel Alonso has published a tweet like the one that circulates, nor on her Twitter profile nor in archived versions.

The same capture of the supposed tweet always circulates
Both the image of the supposed Anabel Alonso tweet that you have sent us to our WhatsApp chatbot (+34 644 22 93 19) such as those circulating on social networks have, as we have mentioned, 17 retweets and 30 “likes” or “likes”. In other words, the same catch always circulates.
What’s more, Although the username and profile photo of the tweet are the same as those of Anabel Alonso, the handle is different: the actress’s is @AnabelAlonso_of and the one in the tweet is @AnabelAlnso_of. Either there is a trace of an account with that handle on Twitter as of the publication date of this article.
For its part, there is no trace on the Twitter profile of Anabel Alonso that you posted a tweet with those claims nor is there an archived version.
In addition, this September 20, the actress herself has posted a tweet with the capture that circulates in which he asks “Does anyone know how they do this forgery?”.

Do not get it with a false tweet
Fake tweets are a type of misinformation that in Maldita.es we detect frequently. There are several steps you can follow so that you don’t get screwed with any of them:

- Find if it has been archived: The fact that it is not published does not mean that this tweet did not exist, since it may have been deleted. You can check tools like WayBack Machine to see if someone captured the post before it was deleted.
- Be careful when moving in a single photo: He is suspicious if the supposed tweet always moves in the same capture or if neither the publication date nor the number of retweets or favorites appear.
- How many characters is the tweet? Twitter posts cannot be more than 280, and if it is before November 2017, it cannot be more than 140.
