No TB vaccine for hospitals to prevent shortage Inland

BILTHOVEN – RIVM refuses to supply vaccines against tuberculosis (TB) to all hospitals that request it, because shortages then arise. Earlier this week, two university hospitals, UMC Utrecht and Radboudumc in Nijmegen, suggested that the TB vaccine may reduce the risk of infection with the new coronavirus. They will investigate whether this is the case, by vaccinating hundreds of healthcare workers with the drug BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guérin).
