It is clarified that the Havilland Beaver plane gave a distress signal the night before. The wreckage of the aircraft was found in the area of the national reserve “Foggy Fjords”, 12 kilometers from the city of Ketchikan. As a result of the crash, the main part of the plane sank.
Rescue divers, after diving into the pond, said that none of the people on board survived.
The Associated Press notes that the crash killed five passengers and the pilot.
