“One of the best, bravest, and hard-working people I’ve seen in my life comes from us. His family and Real Madrid were his life,” he added. Sanz, a native of Madrid, made a fortune in the construction and real estate industries. Between 1995 and 2000 he was chief of the royal. During this time, Real won the Champions League twice (1998 and 2000) and a league title (1997).
