No traces of the violent death of opera singer Evgeny Kungurov, whose body was found in the center of Moscow, were previously found, reports TASS citing a source in law enforcement agencies. According to the publication’s interlocutor, the artist has recently been in a depressed state.
“The artist, according to the records of the Presnensky Court of Moscow, was in the process of dissolving his marriage with his second wife Irina Meledina,” TASS said.
Kungurov’s death became known on the evening of April 8. According to SHOT, his wife received a message in which the singer threatened to commit suicide while she was away from home. At approximately 19:30 Moscow time, when the artist stopped answering calls, the woman contacted the rescue service and called the police.
“360” reported that rescuers arrived at Kungurov’s house on Zoologicheskaya Street in the Presnensky district and found him dead. As the publication’s source noted, the artist committed suicide. Law enforcement officers cordoned off the approach to the entrance of the house to conduct investigative activities.
