In recent years, it appears that Flanders has struggled to get its investment resources out for sewerage works because the local authorities do not put their share of the money on the table or postpone their projects for other reasons.
At the same time, Demir also approves 50 IBA projects across Flanders. IBA stands for individual treatment of wastewater. After all, some buildings are too far away to provide a connection via the sewerage system. In the future, they will therefore not construct sewers in the street, but they will help to ensure their own water purification. A total of 50 approved projects and EUR 122,500 in subsidies. These are projects in Ypres, Leuven, Diest and Lokeren.
