After the BCCI announced equal pay for female players, there is criticism against the Pakistan Cricket Board. Captain Bisma Maroof has publicly pleaded against PCB
The Pakistan women’s team did not even receive a pay raise for eight years after equal pay. Bisma Maroof responded against the Pakistan Cricket Board at a press conference prior to the series against Ireland. Bisma said there was an increase in the match share of Pakistani cricketers in 2014. But the captain said PCB is preparing a better training facility for women’s cricket. Pakistan had defeated India in the Women’s Asian Cup. However, the Pakistan women’s team was unable to perform well in the ICC tournaments. New Zealand was the first cricket commission to implement equal pay for men’s and women’s teams, followed by India to make match odds equal.
