No reports of Covid infections in schools: SEPE, vaccinations continue

TLAXCALA, Tlax., November 7, 2022 – In Tlaxcala there are no reports of Covid 19 infections in the Tlaxcala education system and children aged 5 to 11 continue to be vaccinated in a second dose, the head of the Secretary of Public said. State Education (SEPE), Homero Meneses Hernández, reporting that in the classrooms the use of masks and the use of antibacterial gel is taken care of to strengthen prevention actions.

Regarding this vaccination process, he stated that the Ministry of Welfare and the staff of the Ministry of Health (SESA) have been in charge of the application of the chemicals of the companies Pzifer and Cansino, in addition to the fact that there are urban health centers and some municipal public spaces, where parents can bring their children and not be left behind.

“All 5-year-old children are vaccinated in a second dose, at the moment we have no reports of any contagion due to the Covid issue, however the health system has ordered that the use of masks inside the classrooms continues to be used, this is what we are insisting on, even if the theme of the winter season, the face mask could help prevent health diseases, ”he said.

He also recalled that sanitary filters no longer exist because they are not necessary, but hand washing and the use of antibacterial gel continue, as well as the use of masks.

Finally, the state official called the parents of families who are awaiting vaccination for their children, although he said that according to the SESA 96 percent of the population has already received the vaccine, it is necessary to reach 100 percent. that all tlaxcaltecas are protected against Covid 19.
