From September 21 to 24 inclusive, the joint intercity transport union is suspending all its lines currently in service, due to the curfew. Return to normal is expected on September 25.
The decision to extend the curfew from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., instead of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., has very concrete consequences for users of the Raï network. On its Facebook page, the mixed union of interurban transport (SMTI) informs its users “from the suspension of all its active lines”namely Koné, Voh, Koumac, Arama, Pouébo, Panié, Canala, Kouaoua and Lifou.
This suspension is effective from Saturday, September 21 to Tuesday, September 24 inclusive. “These lines will resume at the scheduled times from Wednesday, September 25”specifies the SMTI.
The presence of chicanes or elements preventing the circulation of Raï coaches does not, for the time being, allow a resumption of activity.
