No Rafael Nadal, no Roger Federer, the field is free for Djokovic

Nadal and Federer are injured and their season is over. Novak Djokovic therefore seems to have the free way in New York to get his hands on the 21st major title of his career.

The US Open opens this Monday and will be followed until September 12. After his failure at the Tokyo Olympics a few weeks ago, Novak Djokovic is back and intends to win the US Open after the Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon. This would allow the world No. 1 to afford the famous calendar Grand Slam, namely to win the four major tournaments in one year.

“We work every day of our life to achieve this, to win a Grand Slam and make history,” said the Serbian who remains on a US Open to forget. Indeed, last year, he was disqualified after hitting a linesman with a ball after a gesture of anger.

The US Open, the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the season, will run from Monday August 30 to Sunday September 12.
