After the round of 16, the 2024 European Championship spectacle in Frankfurt will be over: but the German national team will be a guest in a group game.
Frankfurt am Main – Unlike 2006 received Frankfurt in the EM 2024 no more games from the quarterfinals. At that time, Ronaldinho (42) and Zinédine Zidane (49) kicked, this time after all the German team. The Main metropolis is represented with a total of five games.

This was announced by the European association UEFA on Tuesday in Vienna. Accordingly, four group games – including a game by hosts Germany – and a round of 16 will take place in Deutsche Bank Park.
The Main metropolis will receive two games in Group E (June 17 and 26, 2024) as well as one game each in Group C (June 20) and Group A (June 23, with Germany) plus an additional round of 16 on July 1.
The EM will take place from June 14 to July 14, 2024 in ten German cities. There was no quarter-final for Frankfurt this time like at the 2006 World Cup.

At that time, the quarter-finals between Brazil and France took place in Hesse. Cristiano Ronaldo (37), England and Argentina also played in four group games.
The final round will be triggered in December 2023 in Hamburg. Then it will be clear which teams will be guests in Frankfurt and will play their games.
The final of the EM 2024 will take place in Berlin Olympic Stadium rise, the opening game in München. The final round begins and ends in two years like the Summer Fairy Tale World Cup in 2006.

“Start in Munich, final in Berlin: That was the ideal combination back in 2006, at the last major men’s tournament in Germany,” said DFB President Bernd Neuendorf (61).
The two semi-finals will be held in Munich (July 9th) and Dortmund (July 10th). Hamburg and Stuttgart (both July 5) as well as Berlin and Düsseldorf (July 6) were chosen to host the quarter-finals. In addition to Frankfurt, hosts are also Gelsenkirchen, Cologne and Leipzig.
“Overall, we have outstanding football arenas in Germany that are already ready for the 2024 European Championship,” said Neuendorf. “The preparations in the host cities and also in our national associations are underway. The tournament now has a face with the game plan. That increases the anticipation even more.”

The qualification will be drawn next October in Frankfurt.
“With the release of the fixture list, the tournament becomes more tangible,” said UEFA director Martin Kallen. “We have created a good basis together and can look forward to October 9th with great anticipation, when the qualifying draw will take place in the Festhalle in Frankfurt am Main and the teams will find out who they will be measuring against on the way to Germany.”
The DFB was awarded the tournament in September 2018, the opponent in the decision in Nyon was Turkey.
