No prescription for the murder of Marie-Thérèse Bonfanti: her relatives relieved

“The chamber rejects the prescription of the public action. “At the statement of these few words pronounced by the president of the chamber of instruction of the Grenoble Court of Appeal, the members of the family of Marie-Thérèse Bonfanti gave a huge “phew” of relief. The prescription request of Yves Chatain, presumed murderer of a young mother in 1986 in Pontcharra (Isère), was therefore rejected by the courts. The relatives of the victim feared to see this man escape any trial and leave prison by the front door.
