The collective labor agreement parties in public transport have reached a negotiation result, CNV Vakmensen reported Friday evening. The agreement reached does not allow for a wage increase for the more than twelve thousand employees who work under the collective labor agreement.
“That is very unfortunate,” said negotiator Hanane Chikhi names CNV. “On the other hand, most employees will be sure of their job at least until 1 July 2021. And that the parties to the collective labor agreement intend to agree on an arrangement to stop working earlier.”
It has also been agreed in the collective labor agreement that older employees will work less or can stop working shortly before their state pension age, while retaining a “decent income”, according to CNV.
Public transport has been hit hard by the corona crisis, as the number of travelers has decreased drastically since the spring.
The negotiation result will be presented to the members in the coming weeks.
