No participation in right-wing coalition in Noord-Brabant – The Daily Standard

The 50PLUS party in Noord-Brabant does not want to participate in a right-wing coalition with the VVD, FVD and the CDA. In their own words, Henk Krol’s party is not yet ready for a right-wing covenant.

Through the Brabant party chairman Jan Frans Brouwers, the party announced that they are not yet ready for a coalition connection with the Forum for Democracy. That in itself would have nothing to do with FVD ansich, but even more so with the recent death of 50PLUS member of the state Rinus van Weert.

Brouwers says the following to the Eindhovens Dagblad:

“We are building a party, and Rinus was one of the pillars for that. At the moment we therefore do not think it is wise to assume management responsibilities. “

Earlier this week it became clear that the party top of 50PLUS had doubts about a possible collaboration with FVD. This probably against the sore leg of party leader Henk Krol, who in the (recent) past managed to flirt more often with the lavender tactics of Thierry Baudet.

For the VVD, FVD as well as the CDA, a serious option has now been dropped to form a coalition in Noord-Brabant. There are other options to achieve a majority in the province, but then there must be cooperation with a local party and in the meantime flirting with the political combination CU / SGP.
