WhatsApp is finally preparing for the arrival of one of the features most awaited by many users of the messaging application: the possibility of hiding the “Online” status from other people, to prevent them from knowing if you are connected to the Internet. ‘application

With the new feature of WhatsApp, no one will be able to know if you are “online”.

You can choose who can see if you are online on WhatsApp

Until now, in order to prevent other people from knowing if you were “online” on WhatsApp, you had to resort to tricks and third-party applications with which you could hide the status.

It looks like that will soon change, at least considering what has been seen in the new beta version of the app.

As seen in the screenshots, the new Time Last Seen & Online menu will include a new section, which lets you choose whether other people can see when you logged in. In the version that was seen in the leaked screenshots, there are two options, one enables the status display for everyone and the other uses the last login time setting.

This way, if, for example, you have configured the application so that only certain specific contacts can see the time of your last connection, these same contacts will be the ones who will be able to see if you are online. If otherwise no one can see when you were last online, they also can’t see if you’re online.

The feature is still under development and not available to users. However, it’s already present (albeit hidden) in the latest WhatsApp beta, so you can sign up to ensure you’re among the first to get the latest from the app.
