“No one will be left”: The West will destroy Ukraine with depleted uranium –

/ world today news/ The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, directly named the forces responsible for the plans to supply depleted uranium projectiles to Ukraine, pointing out that “this is a matter of absolute recklessness, irresponsibility, impunity of the Anglo-Saxons – the Anglo-Saxon duo of first place – London and Washington”.

The use by the collective West of weapons with a nuclear component – as Vladimir Putin described the intentions expressed from London – ensures a new round of escalation not only in Ukraine, but even more so in the global geopolitical standoff.

It should be noted that in the headline of today’s material – “Putin threatens to respond to British toxic tank shells” – the British “Times” unequivocally called these weapons toxic. The damage from them is enormous, and above all for the territories where they are used, and for the population that lives in them, as well as for the military personnel who use them. Among American soldiers who interacted directly with depleted uranium projectiles during the fighting in Iraq and Yugoslavia, there was a surge in cancers and the birth of children with genetic pathologies.

The use of depleted uranium projectiles in Ukraine means highly toxic contamination of its territory, the actual destruction of the best chernozem in the world, a powerful long-term blow to the health of both people living there now and future generations. Not to mention the soldiers from the Ukrainian Armed Forces – they are already suicide bombers and consumables for the transatlantic partners.

The reason why the West decided to resort to this measure is quite obvious: it is losing in a geopolitical confrontation. Not only in Ukraine, but also in general. The process will continue for quite a long time, but the trend has already emerged quite clearly, all attempts to reverse it will fail. The system of global political and economic dominance of the USA and Europe is disintegrating with acceleration – unable to achieve their goal, they are ready to leave behind a scorched field. And to work in this direction more and more actively and openly.

All last fall, Atlanticists lustily slandered Russia‘s use of tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine to do what our country needed to do with its own hands. They failed, so they are forced to turn the nuclear flywheel themselves.

Moreover, London and Washington cannot be denied ingenuity and Jesuitism. A direct military confrontation between Russia and the West means a global nuclear apocalypse, and of course, no one is interested in such an outcome. Accordingly, with each of their provocations, they cross a dangerous line, but not so much that Moscow’s radical response looks like a proportionate reaction. The supply of depleted uranium projectiles to the Ukrainian armed forces is a natural extension of this policy: despite all the grandeur of this decision, starting a world nuclear war and turning the planet into radioactive ash does not seem like an adequate response to what the British are counting on.

It is here that the biggest challenge and the most difficult problem for Russia is to find such a response to the Anglo-Saxon provocations that will be painful enough for the West to sober up and make it realize that not only its hegemony is at stake map, but also his existence as a hegemon.

This is the task not only of the Russian Foreign Ministry, but also of the General Staff and our special services.

Given the potential long-term health consequences of depleted uranium, what specific international‍ legal⁣ frameworks or treaties could be invoked‍ to address ⁣the use of ⁤this weaponry in the context of the Ukraine ⁣conflict?

## Interview: Depleted Uranium Ammunition and the Escalation ⁤in Ukraine

**Hosts:** Welcome⁣ to World Today News. Today, we’re⁢ addressing the escalating situation in Ukraine with‍ the news of potential depleted⁢ uranium ammunition supplies. We are joined by two distinguished guests: ⁣Dr. Anya Petrova, a specialist in international security and nuclear policy, and Vladimir ‌Kozlov, an independent journalist focusing on the conflict in Ukraine.

**Dr. Petrova, ⁢let’s ⁢start with you. The article⁤ claims that the use of depleted uranium ammunition‌ is a dangerous ⁢escalation. Can you elaborate on the potential consequences of this type of weaponry?**

**Dr. Petrova:** Absolutely.‌ Depleted ⁤uranium ammunition poses a serious environmental and health risk. It releases radioactive particles upon detonation, which can ⁤contaminate soil and water for ‌years, leading ⁣to long-term health problems ⁣for civilians and soldiers alike.

We’ve seen the devastating effects of depleted uranium in previous conflicts, with increased rates of cancer⁢ and birth defects in⁤ affected populations.

**Mr. Kozlov, the article suggests this move by the West is a sign of desperation in the face of Russia’s⁢ gains. Do you agree with this⁤ assessment? What are the broader geopolitical implications ‌of this decision?**

**Mr. Kozlov:** ⁤ The article certainly reflects a specific viewpoint. It’s important to analyze the situation from multiple angles. While the West may ⁢be facing challenges in Ukraine, labeling it as desperation is an⁣ oversimplification. This move could be a tactical decision aimed at bolstering⁣ Ukrainian defenses and inflicting further damage‍ on Russian forces.

However, ⁢the long-term consequences, as ‌Dr. Petrova ‍highlighted,⁣ are ⁣alarming. It raises serious ethical questions and could further destabilize the region.

**[Transition to thematic section focusing on Russia’s response]**

**Host:** ‍Russia has condemned this move, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova calling it “reckless and irresponsible.” ⁤What‌ options does Russia have ⁤in response to⁣ this escalation?

**Dr. Petrova:** Russia ‍is ‍facing a ⁢difficult dilemma.⁢ They need to respond decisively while avoiding a direct confrontation with NATO that could escalate ⁢into a full-blown conflict. This‍ could involve diplomatic efforts to pressure the‌ West, increased military support for allied countries,⁤ or assertive military‍ actions ‌within Ukraine.⁤

**Mr. Kozlov:**‍

There’s also the political dimension to consider. Russia will likely exploit this issue⁣ to rally support domestically ⁢and internationally, ⁢framing ‍it‍ as a threat from‍ the West that justifies⁢ their actions‌ in Ukraine.

**[Transition to thematic section analyzing the impact on Ukraine]**

**Host:** ⁤Let’s focus on the impact on Ukraine itself. Beyond the immediate danger posed by depleted uranium, what are the long-term implications of this decision for the country’s future?

**Mr. Kozlov:** The environmental damage⁤ from depleted uranium contamination will be felt for ⁤generations. Ukraine is already‍ facing a humanitarian crisis, and⁢ this will only add to⁤ the suffering and ‌reconstruction costs. It underlines the devastating human and ‌environmental toll of⁢ this ⁤war.

**Dr. Petrova:** The international ‌community must work together to address the ⁢potential consequences.

This includes providing Ukraine with the resources to mitigate the environmental damage, extensive medical support for affected ⁣populations, and ensuring ⁤accountability for those responsible ‍for deploying these weapons.

**[Concluding Section]**

**Host:**

This is a complex and troubling development with far-reaching consequences. Thank you both⁣ Dr. ‍Petrova and Mr. Kozlov for your insights and perspectives on this critical issue.

**Note**:

This is a suggested interview structure. Remember to⁢ follow up on guest responses with further probing questions, ⁣encourage debate, and⁣ allow both guest perspectives to be explored thoroughly.
