Chennai: India were bowled out for 329 in the first innings of the second Test against England. Although the pitch could be considered a flawless score, the English plan to get India out quickly on the second day was successful.
Rishabh, who did not get the best partnership, remained unbeaten on 58. The innings consisted of seven fours and three sixes. The reason why the Indian score did not cross 350 runs was because the Waltons were not even ready to fight. For England, Mueen Ali took four wickets and Oli Stone three.
Rohit Sharma (161) and Ajinkya Rahane (67) put on 300 for six on the first day. Akshar Patel (5), Ishant Sharma (0), Kuldeep Yadav (0) and Mohammad Siraj (4) returned to the pavilion with 29 runs to spare.
