The top club Paris Saint-Germain has gathered a number of superstars in the French capital.
The currently largest are without question the attackers Kylian Mbappé and Neymar. Both stand for exceptional talent – and the contract with PSG for both expires in summer 2022. No wonder that desires arise among the top European clubs.
Efforts to extend the two working papers have been unsuccessful in Paris for some time, but PSG sports director Leonardo sees the situation as relaxed. Because his club clearly has a clear financial advantage. “If PSG are unable to keep these two stars, which club should have the financial means to pay either of them? I think there is no club,” Leonardo said in an interview with France Football.
The Brazilian obviously assumes that there is simply no other club that can make Mbappé and Neymar a better offer. Leonardo also made it clear: “We will not beg: ‘Please stay.'”
Mbappé is mainly being courted by Real Madrid – but an early change seems unlikely in Corona times. Neymar has long been linked with a return to FC Barcelona but is in deep financial crisis.
