Social media has breathed life into a Dominos employee’s good gesture from last year.
The painful story causes comment fields around the world to explode.
The birthday party that didn’t happen
It was last October that a little boy in Queensland was waiting and waiting for birthday guests who never came.
The boy’s mother was devastated to see her excited son sitting alone among balloons and covered tables, and did not know what to do.
When she realized she had to call Domino’s and cancel all the pizzas she had ordered, she burst into tears.
The mother tearfully told the Dominos restaurant how none of her son’s classmates had turned up for his birthday, according to News.
She painfully described how her little boy sat alone among confetti and other decorations. Then she placed another order for one pizza to share.
The tearful message prompted Dominos boss Miles at Dominos Coolum, Sunshine Coast, to react.
He had an idea that has since taken the Internet by storm.

After the hurtful conversation, Miles rushed off to make a specially made cake for the little boy. Kaka was more specifically a chocolate pizza. It was topped with brownies and churros, writes the New York Times.
The boss wrote “Happy Birthday” in chocolate sauce on the top lid of the pizza box he put the dessert in, then posed for a photo Dominos Australia posted on their official Facebook page.
There they also reproduced the child’s mother’s heartbreaking story anonymously, after approval from the mother.
The photo went viral, and hundreds of people praised Miles’ performance. Just as many took to the comments section to give their support to the boy.

“What a great person you are, Miles. I hope it cheered the boy up – what a heartbreaking story,” wrote one.
“This is every parent’s worst nightmare. So nice that you helped with what you could”wrote another.
Shocking discovery in the microwave
The mother of the child later told the Dominos restaurant that both she and her son were very touched and grateful for Miles’ gesture, and revealed that her little boy exchanged tears for a warm smile when he received the dessert.
Now the incident from last autumn has gone viral again. The Dominos boss’ invention warms hearts around the world, and is actively shared on Facebook and other social media.
“What a legend you are! You should get a raise”one user wrote on Facebook.
“Poor boy, hope he’s better today”wrote another.
Domino’s official user profile also left a greeting:
“Thank you so much for going the extra mile to turn this customer’s day around”.
