The news published by “Diki” caused a shock, according to which the first sample of a Greek international footballer who participated in the national team’s mission in Tbilisi was found to be positive. The EPO sounded the alarm and until now there is no notification to the Federation about a positive sample from UEFA.
The Federation contacted, in addition to UEFA, the doctor of the National Team Odysseus Paxinos and the two international footballers who also had not received any information.
10 internationals who were on the team for the match against Kazakhstan also passed a doping control. At the moment, however, they don’t know anything either…
For the case, the EPO issued the following announcement: “Regarding publications referring to the finding of a positive sample of a football player of the Men’s National Team, it is announced that the Hellenic Football Federation has not received any relevant information”.
