Head coach Craig Ramsay also included in the nomination a trio of young men Samuel Kňažek, Šimon Nemec and Juraj Slafkovský, who presented themselves for the first time at the May World Championships in Riga.

There are three goalkeepers, nine defenders and thirteen attackers. Ďaloga has 109 starts and Libor Hudáček 101. Dovedna is on the list of up to fifteen players from the last world championship.
In preparation for the final tournament of the Olympic qualification, the Slovak hockey national team met on Monday in Zvolen, but in a reduced composition.
There was also coach Craig Ramsay, who will join the national team in the second phase of preparation for the event. However, from Sunday, August 22, it will have a bubble character.

In the tournament itself, the Slovaks will play three matches within the qualifying D-group from Thursday, August 26 to Sunday, August 29.
The first on Thursday from 19.15 against Austria, the second a day later at the same time against Poland.
The final duel will be played by coach Ramsay’s charges on Sunday from 5.30 pm against Belarus. Only the winner of the Bratislava tournament will advance to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
