No Neuchâtel athlete will be honored this year. The Cantonal Sports Service gives up organizing the 2020 Sports Merit Award. A decision announced Wednesday in a press release.
In view of the lack of competitions and sports results this year, the service estimated that “it would not be fair or possible to award prizes this year”. Furthermore, uncertainty reigns over the possibility of bringing people together in December for the ceremony.
The Sports Department says it will think of a way to promote the sport in another way by the end of the year. / comm-mwi
