No more tolls on highways. There will be two methods of payment. We know when KAS will introduce the new system

From July 2020, KAS is responsible for collecting tolls for using the motorway on two sections: Konin-Stryków (A2) and Wrocław-Sośnica (A4). Their manual and electronic systems will be replaced by the new project they are working on Ministry of Finance and National Tax Administration.

Are we building roads more expensive in Poland than in Europe? The spokesman for GDDKiA responds

Highways without gates. They will be replaced by the “free flow” mode

“We are preparing solutions that will allow us to move away from manual toll collection highway and liquidation of the so-called goals. Our goal is to collect all tolls in one goalless system. We want to fully use the potential of new technologies and create a system that will be safe and convenient for road users “- announces the resort.

It is about paying in the “free flow” mode, thanks to which cars will not have to stop at toll stations. This solution is to reduce road congestion, improve safety and save time. It is worth adding that light vehicles (weighing from 3.5 tons) will not have to be equipped with a GPS transmitter.

No more goals. How will we pay for the toll on the motorway?

MF and KAS have decided to introduce the following options for paying for the motorway ride. They are to be available from 2021:

  • purchase of a motorway ticket (e-Ticket) – no need to use geolocation data. The ticket will be available for purchase incl. via a website, mobile or banking application, but also at a kiosk or at a petrol station,
  • on the basis of geolocation data transferred to the KAS Electronic Toll Collection System (e-Toll) – a solution used by heavy vehicles, it can be used via a mobile application.
