No more prosecution if victims don’t immediately register Facebook insults?

The trial against the external lawyer Dubravko Mandic, who has not been part of the AfD for some time and has now resigned from the municipal council, began in the Freiburg district court on Wednesday. The trial is taking place because Mandic has appealed two convictions. On the one hand against the conviction for insult in five cases. He is accused of publicly posting a black and white photomontage of a well-known press photo of the Nuremberg trials of the main Nazi war criminals as the cover photo on the Facebook Internet platform in November 2015. On the photo montage, the heads of historical figures were replaced by the heads of current politicians. He was sentenced to 90 daily rates of 100 euros each.

The second complex was the conviction for the attack on the Kaiserstuhl Bridge together with Robert H. Robert H. had struck with pliers and Mandic had used pepper spray. Although he was given an extremely lenient sentence of only six months probation, Mandic appealed that sentence as well.

The two complexes are now being drawn together before the regional court. On the first day of the trial, more to follow after Easter, the alleged insult on Facebook was heard on Thursday.
