No more parking tickets at Düsseldorf Airport – what changes await passengers
From the middle of next year, visitors and passengers arriving by car will be able to pay for their parking ticket by providing their license plate number Rhenish Post reported. This replaces the classic paper ticket. The new payment method is expected to save around ten million paper tickets per year.
The new system then works like this: The license plate is scanned by a camera when you enter. You then have to enter your license plate number and pay at the parking machine before you leave. The camera recognizes the license plate when you exit and opens the barrier when the fee is paid.
