No more curfew at night? Dresden wants to relax restrictions

The city of Dresden is planning to relax the exit restrictions.

Dresden – With the new Corona regulation, the city wants Dresden loosen current exit restrictions.

If the country makes it possible to give people back basic rights, the city will do so, said Mayor Dirk Hilbert (49, FDP) on Friday.

For example, the nocturnal exit restrictions are to be lifted.

It is crucial that the weekly incidence for the Free State remains below the mark of 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

It was initially unclear whether and how the 15-kilometer rule would be relaxed. For this purpose, the state capital wants to wait for the exact wording of the new Corona Protection Ordinance.

The Ministry of Health has announced that it will allow easing with the new regulation. The prerequisite is that the incidence value of the district or urban district is below the 100 mark for five consecutive days – the same must be the case in the state as a whole.

The restriction to the 15-kilometer radius should only be able to be relaxed for shopping, not for exercise in the fresh air.

Other cities and districts are still reluctant and want to wait for the new regulation to be published.

The city of Leipzig wants to advise on possible easing on Tuesday, as a spokesman said on request. In the city, the weekly incidence on Friday was even below the 50 mark.

In the Erzgebirgskreis and the district of central Saxony, too, the district offices want to wait for the new ordinance first.
