With the patch to version 2.3, now the ninth free update, the space survival game No Man’s Sky gets a new form of spaceships. The title “Living Ship Update” already reveals: The new ships are not machines, but living beings – the Sci-Fi series Lexx – The Dark Zone greetings.
The living ships bring their own “technologies” and of course an “organic cockpit”. Missions from a new campaign are intended to lead the player to the rare vehicles that have emerged from old experiments of the alien race Korvax. Players should search for a space anomaly and apparently pull the egg-hatched ship themselves to ultimately fly it. Like so much in the game from Hello Games, the organic ships and their accessories are to be generated randomly in dozens of variations, which ensures variety.
In addition to the living spaceships, Hello Games provides update 2.3 with new encounters with “mysterious space objects and strange life forms“, Which rarely appear when flying through a star system with the pulse drive. NPCs can now use the communicator to call players in space to trade special items, or to ask for support or pursue more questionable goals.
