No Man’s Sky has significantly improved the graphics this time

No Man’s Sky is like a mythical phoenix: it is one of the strongest stories of the resurrection of the game, which at the time of its release perhaps disappointed everyone to gradually fulfill all the original promises with the unceasing care of the authors – and then surpassed them. We are somehow used to the fact that new features and improvements are regularly added to the game. This time, however, it is clearly a graphic leap forward, which benefits from the performance of newer graphics cards and, of course, new consoles. Judge for yourself in the official trailerhow much better the game now looks.

The new update 3.5, called “Prisms”, added to the game:

  • Screen Space Reflections (advanced light reflections)
  • Volumetric lighting (more impressive effects of ship or robot spotlights, but also glowing plants)
  • Hyperdrive Warp effects (improved appearance and audio travel through hyperspace)
  • DLSS for PC players with compatible cards (up to twofold increase in FPS)
  • More colorful and better lit interiors of caves
  • Parallax occlusion mapping (more pronounced shapes of rugged surfaces)
  • Improved flashlight effects (dynamic placement on a spacesuit + improvements see above)
  • Refraction (deformed image behind glass or force field)
  • Starry sky articulation (you will now see many more stars in the distance)
  • The coat of extraterrestrial creatures (additional cuteness)
  • Crepuscular rays (enhanced effects of “pillars of light” or “god’s fingers”)
  • New extra details on the surface of the planets
  • Improved rain effects (drops now distort light)
  • Improved particle effects (explosions, etc.)

In addition to these technical improvements, the game also received new game content, such as flying mounts and more. You can view the complete list, including samples here on the official website of the game.
