The Villefranche football team failed to achieve the expected feat in a play-off against Niort, this Saturday, May 22. Beaten 2-0, the team will remain in the National next season.

Hope disappointed for the Tigres de Villefranche, beaten in the second play-off match by Niort 2 to 0. They will not be able to access, as they hoped to league 2. In the first jump, the residents of National had yet overthrown Niort on the score of 3-1.
The Chamois de Niort finally recovered their delay to finally win 2-0 on their lawn, with a goal late in the game.

Very saddened by this rout, after a season which allowed them to feed the best hopes, the players as the staff of Villefranche left the stadium in tears. Coach Hervé Della Maggiore said he was very touched by this unfortunate outcome for his players.
The supporters also expressed their disappointment, especially on social networks.
