Butchers of Veracruz foresee an increase in their sales
Alejandro Orea Valero, representative of the tablajero union, mentioned that this season of the year represents the best sale for them.
“We are hopeful that sales will increase, because the truth is that right now they are a bit low due to the pandemic. We hope that there will be sales even on those days, from the 20th onwards and the 12th as well (…) 60 percent more is sold, what happens is that there is a lot of competition from frozen meat ”, he explained.
Regarding prices, Orea Valero, reported that there was an adjustment of 20 pesos in the meat of pork.
“The pig has already risen three weeks ago, I don’t think it will increase any more, we cannot do that because of the competition with commercial chains.”
During December, loin, rib and leg are the products that are most in demand.
