One of the most common problems during training is gastric reflux. Sometimes it is not the product of an abdominal performed incorrectly, but of incorrect eating habits. To avoid this inconvenience, just pay attention to what we eat and when we do it. The result? No gastric reflux with these foods during the workout.
Recruitment time
It is wrong to think that you cannot eat anything before training, if the foods are right and if the body has the right time to assimilate them. Generally, it is a good idea to wait two to three hours after meals before practicing each workout. In this way, the right timing and proper nutrition will avoid any gastro-intestinal problems. When, however, the workout is a morning workout, you can take the right amount of nuts no more than 15 minutes before. Giving the body sufficient time for assimilation and the conclusion of the digestive process is an attention that everyone owes to himself.
Pre-workout breakfast
Rusks, yogurt and fruit for breakfast? No gastric reflux with these foods during the morning workout. Always waiting for the right timing, these are three foods that do not involve the onset of problems related to gastric reflux. On fruit, however, some attention must be paid. Apples, pears or blueberries are fine; oranges, tangerines or grapefruit are fruits to be consumed in moderation before the workout, because they have a more acidic taste. The yogurt will be light, lean and possibly white. Yogurt is also excellent kefir.
Lunch and dinner before training
For those who prefer late morning, afternoon or evening workouts, pay attention to foods and times of intake. Good protein foods like chicken, which is also a lean white meat, or rice. At the start vegetables such as carrots, lettuce or cucumbers, which are also foods that fight gastroesophageal reflux. Also excellent are turkey meat and most of the fish, very rich in Omega-3. It is possible to consume carbohydrates in the right quantities and in moderation.
But the main rule is to keep the body hydrated constantly, trying to consume between 1.5 and 2 liters of water per day. Never forget to eat five meals a day, well distributed throughout the day. Also avoid stress, which stimulates reflux problems. Physical activity, then, is a powerful tool against gastric reflux.
