DARMSTADT – No Covid 19 infection since Tuesday last week (May 19), hence 214 laboratory-confirmed cases – that is the coronability of Thursday. The health department considers 194 patients healed, the city’s statement on the crisis team meeting continues.

Mayor Jochen Partsch describes this development as “still extremely pleasing”. You can see from this that “we got the outbreak situation with Covid-19 in Darmstadt together and with great effort, in part very well under control”.

The situation cannot yet be assessed conclusively, but the trend is without a doubt positive. Now everyone would have to continue working together to keep it that way.

Partsch again appeals to adhere to the distance and hygiene rules, to be considerate, to remain calm and prudent. “Then there is a good chance that the situation in Darmstadt will continue to stabilize over a longer period of time and that we can get through the summer well and healthy.”

Preparations for the so-called restricted day-to-day operation of the daycare centers continued on June 2, the message said. As reported, this limited regular operation will result in extended emergency care. The youth welfare office is already accepting children classified as hardship cases, and children with disabilities have also been looked after since Monday.

A parent’s demo has been announced on Tuesday, June 2, at 4 p.m. in the market square, which calls for all children to be able to return to daycare equally. After eleven weeks, more and more children showed behavioral problems, their early childhood development was disturbed, the support did not come. While children of parents with the right job have been back in their everyday lives for weeks, many other children have been left behind. Motto: “All children are systemically important.”
